Prof. Dr. Namık Günay Erkal, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, was awarded the Yavuz Sezer Article Prize in the History of Architecture and the Urban Environment by the Ottoman and Turkish Studies Association (OTSA) with his article titled Reserved Abundance: State Granaries of Early Modern Istanbul.

Third year Department of Architecture students Pelin Mertcan, Zeynep Ateş ve Tolgahan Bardakçı have been awarded with Third Prize at the 'Student Ideas Competition: Reimagining Dalyans of Istanbul,' organized by Istinye University Department of Architecture.

Evren Başbuğ and Gülşah Aykaç, instructors in the Department of Architecture, have been awarded with 4^th Mension in ‘İstanbul is Yours_Lighting Products Design Competition’ that is organized by İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Cultural Assets Conservation. 

Ziya İmren, instructor in the Department of Architecture, has been awarded with 4^th Mension in ‘Bursa Atatürk Sports Hall Architectural Design Competition’ that is organized by Chamber of Architects of Turkey_Bursa Branch.
