Mission and Vision

Mission

The mission of TEDU Department of Architecture is to provide an interactive and flexible learning environment that is open to interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experience; to define an undergraduate education program that follows up-to-date information, methods and ideas; to provide an education environment for individuals who will fulfill their professional responsibilities, are sensitive to environmental, technological, cultural and social developments, and respect individual and cultural differences.

Vision

The vision of TEDU Department of Architecture is to produce national and international studies as a research-based, innovative and prolific department that contributes to the production of knowledge, with the goal of associating architectural education and practice with the social and cultural context.

Parallel with the student-centered education approach of TED University, the aim is to define an educational atmosphere of one-to-one learning practice that welcomes the exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge and experience. One of the main goals of the department is to train qualified architects having the skills and habits of multi-dimensional thinking and production, being sensitive to developments in technological, social and practical fields and having the competence to develop new and creative methods for the design and construction processes of the built environment.

In line with these goals, it is also aimed to provide a dynamic learning environment that encourages the students to diversify and intensify their social, cultural and daily life experiences and activities, to develop skills for research, inquiry and critical perspective, and to internalize these as integral parts of professional activity.
