The Piranesi Prix de Rome takes place at Villa Adriana in Tivoli. It features a two-week intensive design workshop focusing on architectural design and museography for archaeology, especially the musealization of archaeology and scenographic design for the valorization of archaeological heritage. This international competition is open to students and young professionals, including architects, designers, engineers, and archaeologists. The 23rd edition took place at Villa Adriana from August 23rd to September 5th, 2025, where TEDU Architecture faculty member Seray Türkay Coşkun also participated as a senior tutor during the workshop.
Every year, the Accademia Adrianea for Architecture and Archaeology Onlus invites domestic and international universities, through their individual schools of architecture, communication, interior design, engineering, and archaeology, as well as their professors interested in this field, to participate in the Premio Piranesi Prix de Rome, which is intended primarily to be a cultural exchange among the schools.
