Our world is changing at a pace faster than ever before. Significant urban population growth is predicted over the next decades, which points to a high demand for housing. The world is in a phase of urbanizing at a rate unprecedented in human history. There is growing scarcity of shelter, food, water and energy.Transformations in environmental, technological, political, economic and social realms are reshaping our environments, our society, and our lives. The key to a better world calls for a generation that views these challenges as opportunities.

Competition_Honorable Mention: PROSteel 2016 Steel Structure Design Student Competition
The team composed of R.Sena Kocakaya, T. Çelinay Şahin (TEDU 3rd year students of Department of Architecture) and Eyüp Atakan Özkan (Department of Civil Engineering) has been awarded the Honorable Mention in PROSteel 2016 Steel Structure Design Student Competition with their projects studied in Arch 302 Architectural Design IV (coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Derin İnan, Cem Altınöz and Güneş Duyul). 3rd year students Eren Yazıcıoğlu and Burak Kök were also short-listed in the same competition.
